hey everyone...

How's it been? junior year is pretty tough...explains my absences from sports, msn, etc....oh well. hope everyone's having a great year. Just a little something i found a few minutes ago (1130 ish), in my own words. it's one of my big problems, and it's something i think we all share a bit of. so check it out. btw, is this plagiarism? naaa, i cited it :D.

Taken for Granted - Isaiah 48:1-13 READ THIS

Have any of you ever felt taken for granted? like someone just forgot their homework and insists that you help them do it regardless of your feelings/business? or maybe a friend who just isnt being such a friend, prefering to hang out with others or just outright ditching or ignoring you. maybe ur parents arent paying attention to you or your achievements. Or maybe you simply feel used by someone.

But hey, I'm not the smartest guy on earth, and I'm not gonna tell you how to get their attention again. It's about God getting your attention again. Ever thought that HE might feel taken for granted?

Perhaps you might say that He's important to your beliefs, your lifestyle, your spirituality, your life itself, blahblahblah...but have you ever asked Him or thought about how your He feels about your relationship? How it looks from His side of things? Have you ever wondered maybe HE feels used, or ignored, or unimportant to you? The Almighty King of the Universe who went to all the trouble to save us (and, when it comes down to it, really didnt need to and shouldn't have), kinda gets the cold shoulder these days, when we put everything else, including our own desires, in front of Him just bcuz they're more "immediate."  And it's not just these days.

In Isaiah, there is reference to other people who seriously took God for granted, even outright disobeying Him and doing the things they KNEW just pissed Him off. So basically what God does is He gets Isaiah to tell the people that they were really enjoying this special relationship with Him (the protection, promised land, God's chosen ppl status) but were also abusing it. Big time. He tells them that He will NOT be ignored. "How can I let myself be defamed? I will not yield my glory to another." (Isaiah 48:11)

In short, guys, take this seriously. God is a pretty important person, and I'm pretty sure He enjoys getting taken for granted even less than you do, especially considering how tiny and insignificant we are. There is NOTHING more important than your relationship with God. I repeat, NOTHING.

Don't take it for granted.

Thanks guys. God Bless ya'all. Take care now.

Howie ;)

hey guys....

back from veitnam..what a blast...n student council elections today...kinda scary for me, kinda boring for u...glad we have break tomolo eh? well, i just wanted to say somethin ive had on my mind for hte past couple of days.

Recently, i've been told about certain bad feeling against me for certain behaviors of mine over our trip. Most of you know what im talking about because you've talked about it yourselves. And many of you have expressed discomfort over it, and in some cases an outright loss of respect for me. Not that the respect thing bothers me. What does bother me is it wasn't till the very last night htat someone had the character to come and tell me about it. And overall, only 3 people total have had the guts to talk to me about it at all. Thanks to u guys, n u noe who u are. I just feel that if we want class unity, as we said, how can we if we dont tell each other these things?

If anyone has a grievance with me, please, please, PLEEEEZZZ come talk to me, and tell me. After i was told about what i was doing i felt terrible, and i want to offer my apologies to you all for the discomfort i have caused. I will attempt to mend my actions.

yea...theres my little rant....so yea, just tell me in the future if u've got a prob wiv me, okie? thanks ;). Have a nice day everyone!

I was doing my bible essay on Niels Bohr...n found some stuff that he said. Me like quotes :p. Enjoy ^_^

"And anyone who thinks they can talk about quantum theory without feeling dizzy hasn't yet understood the first word about it."

"Nothing exists until it is measured."

"The opposite of a correct statement is a false statement. But the opposite of a profound truth may well be another profound truth."

"We all agree that your theory is crazy, but is it crazy enough?"

"How wonderful that we have met with a paradox. Now we have some hope of making progress!"

"Einstein, stop telling God what to do with his dice."

"The complement of truth is clearness"
